Two Companies, One Bottle

Two operations appear on one product and nothing supplied explains the relationship. It costs nothing on the day you order.

6 pieces of information on one printed line

What the bottle prints

Turn the bottle over and read the small line under the storage instruction. It prints, word for word: “Distributed By : Sciatica Pro+, Akron, OH 44301, (844) 469-3744, [email protected]”

That is a properly built distributor line and it should be said so. It carries a name, a city, a state, a ZIP code, a phone number and an email address. Plenty of labels manage two of those six. A reader holding this bottle has somebody to contact and a place to post a letter to.

So Ohio. An 844 number. An email on the sciaticaproplus.com domain. Remember those three for the next section.

Printed exactly as supplied. Nothing explains the relationship between the first two rows, and this site does not invent one.

2 states, two phones, two domains

What the supplied pack gives

Now open the material the seller supplied with the product, and a different operation appears entirely.

It gives an office at 419 Park Avenue South, Floor 7, New York, NY 10016, USA, a separate returns address at 1166 Avenue of the Americas, Floor 7, New York, NY 10036, USA, an order-support number of +1 (302) 200-3480 on a 302 area code rather than an 844 toll-free line, and an order-support email at [email protected], on a different domain from the one on the bottle.

Ohio on the bottle. New York in the pack. Two states, two street addresses, two phone numbers, two email domains, and neither surface mentions the other. Nothing supplied to this desk explains the relationship between them.

None of which is exotic in itself. A brand can own a distributor; a distributor can use a fulfilment company; an order desk can be outsourced entirely, and frequently is. Any one of those ordinary, legal arrangements would account for what is printed here. The problem is not that an explanation would be hard to imagine. It is that nobody supplied one.

0 disagreements resolved on your behalf

This site does not say one of them is wrong

Here is the sentence this post exists to be careful about. This site does not say one of them is wrong. It does not say the bottle is mistaken, it does not say the pack is mistaken, and it does not suggest either surface is misleading anybody. It says there are two, printed exactly as they appear above, and that nothing supplied resolves which operation a buyer is dealing with.

That is the rule this site is written to: where the bottle and the supplied pack disagree, the bottle is reported as what the product is and the pack as what it is sold as, and the disagreement is printed rather than resolved quietly. On this product the rule fires twice — on the distributor, and on the name, which is the subject of the previous post.

Resolving it quietly would be easy and dishonest. A site could print the pack’s number and drop the bottle’s, on the reasonable-sounding ground that the pack is more recent, and a reader holding a bottle with a different number on it would never know a choice had been made for them. Printing both costs a paragraph.

0 manufacturers named on either surface

And neither of them is the manufacturer

There is a third absence here, and it is the largest. Neither company is named as the manufacturer, and no manufacturer is named anywhere. The bottle says Distributed By, which is a distributor line and not a manufacturing one. The pack gives offices and a returns address. Neither surface says who filled these capsules, or in which plant.

The label does print a roundel reading GMPc FACILITY (Good Manufacturing Practice Certified), and a GMP line is a statement about process: records, cleanliness, traceability, and the ability to put a printed amount into a capsule accurately. On a label where all ten amounts are printed that standard matters more than usual, because it decides whether the printed figure and the capsule agree. But the roundel names no facility and no certifying body. The marks are taken apart on the seals page.

The same gap runs through the batch references: a lot code, a certificate reference and a label revision were all supplied — SP-26/MY-6297, SP-6297-26-MY, REV 0424 — and the certificate document itself was not. A reference is a filing number; the certificate says what was in the batch and who measured it.

2 numbers, and only one can see an order

The day it stops costing nothing

On the day you order, none of this costs you anything. A checkout takes a payment, a tracking number arrives, a parcel turns up, and two addresses on two surfaces is a curiosity. It stops being a curiosity on the day something goes wrong, because at that moment you are holding the bottle, and the bottle is not holding the number that can help you.

Picture it concretely. A bottle arrives with a damaged safety seal, and the label is explicit about that: “KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT USE IF SAFETY SEAL IS DAMAGED OR MISSING. STORE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE.” So you need a replacement. The number in front of you is the 844 number printed under Distributed By. The number that can see your order, change it and refund it is the 302 number from a pack you may never have read. The number printed on the bottle in your hand is not the number the pack says to call about an order.

The mechanics that were supplied are clear enough: call the order desk on +1 (302) 200-3480 with the order ID before shipping anything back; return postage is the buyer’s cost, tracked; put your full name, email address and order ID in with the parcel; returns go to the Avenue of the Americas address; and refund timing is 3–5 business days after they credit it, then a further 5–10 days on the card. What was not supplied is the guarantee itself: the pack says only “Guarantee: As printed on the live checkout”, so the window and its conditions are as printed on the live checkout — read them there on the day you pay and screenshot them. The route is on the refund page.

3 domains, one order desk

Three email domains, one order desk

Count the email domains, because the count is higher than anybody expects. Three. The bottle prints an address on sciaticaproplus.com. The pack gives [email protected], a domain matching neither the product name nor this website. And this site’s own desk is [email protected], Mon–Fri 9:00am–5:00pm ET.

Only one of the three can help with an order, and it is not this one. [email protected] cannot see an order, change one, track one or refund one. It is for pages, typos, privacy and press. Writing to the wrong address about a charge costs days, and days matter when a refund window you read at the checkout is already running.

One more absence while you are at the checkout. No payment processor is named anywhere in the supplied material, so the name that appears on your card statement is not something this desk can tell you in advance. Read it on the checkout page and screenshot it: a statement line nobody recognises two weeks later is a common reason people start a chargeback against a company that would have refunded them. Which desk does what is on the where-to-buy page.

4 things to do before you pay

What to ask, and when

The transferable habit is short, and it is worth having before you pay rather than after. Ask who you are buying from, in writing, before you order. One sentence to the order desk: which company is the seller of record, and which issues the refund? An answer in writing carries a date and a name. A seller who can answer will, and a seller who cannot has told you something too.

Screenshot the checkout. The price, the pack, the shipping line and the guarantee wording, with the date in frame. A refund conversation later is about what the page said on the day you paid, and no page anywhere, including this one, can substitute for a picture of the page that charged you.

Keep the order ID somewhere you will find it. Every route that can help you — the order desk, a return parcel, a card dispute, a complaint to a regulator — starts with it.

And know the two addresses that take a report. A problem with the product goes to FDA, through MedWatch or the consumer complaint system. A problem with the selling goes to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov. Both are free and both are linked below. None of that is a prediction about this seller; it is the same advice this desk would give about any purchase from a page it has not seen.
